Week 7...

So I am in my last few weeks here at CULC and i am trying to work out what to do next in terms of my career path. It seems unlikely I will be able to find another training role. My big question is do I stay or do I go...will I be a Librarian anymore?

In this day and age it is unlikely any of us will have a job for life, which is both sad and exciting at the same time. Will I get to re-invent myself? The sad part is saying goodbye to my past skill set!

I suspect if I said to my dad who is 70 what blogging is, his mind would spin!

Great British Sewing Bee...and Me!

I am loving the second series of this programme,  like the Great British Bake Off it focuses on people's skills and experience to create amazing things. What I also enjoy is, although it is a competition, everyone seems to get along and is supportive, which is lovely to watch.

I bought a sewing machine (Toyota 21 LUX)
over a year ago, I confess it took me 6 months to get it out of the box. Actually I do mean that quite literally! Six month's further on and I've still not sewn anything!!! I think I might be scared of  attempting to touch it, which is odd, as I have used a sewing machine before, granted it was a long time ago now...

I have also started looking at website's relating to patterns and sewing, especially those that cater to the fuller figured amoungst us and these are the ones I liked the best.

I may need to motivate myself to try a little harder on the sewing front, especially as at 5ft I always need to shorten clothes I buy!

New Adventures...

Well this is a first for me, blogging that is.

As I have to learn to write useful for things for work on a blog. I thought I should test it out on my friends and family and the faceless web first...LOL

I am enjoying the cold sunny weather this morning, which I much prefer to rain (in its many forms!)
